Brett Yordy is a rowdy 7 year old from Haltom City.  He is in 2nd grade and attends Birdville Elementary.  He began racing in January 2007 making his debut at Kam Kartway.  After his first week, Brett had an accident at school that required surgery.  But, he wasn’t going to miss a race for that.  He assured his surgeon that he wore a protective shield while he raced to protect his eye.  He is a dedicated young racer and anxious to learn something new every week.   After only 14 races under his belt, he has 6 1st place finishes, 6 2nd place finishes and 2 3rd place finishes.  While he considers Cowtown his home track, he also races Kam Kartway and Circle L.

Racing is something that the whole family has really enjoyed.  His dad is teaching him that even though racing is fun, along with that there is also responsibility.  Brett is in charge of changing his oil each week and cleaning his kart.  His dad just grins when Brett pulls off the track saying “Dad, I’m tight around turn 4”, already talking the “lingo”.

Brett has made several friends through racing and building relationships that he’ll take with him down the track.  Racers may be competitive on the track, but they’ll do anything to help each other out.

Brett likes to spend a couple weeks of his summer vacation in Louisiana with his cousins.  He loves swimming, skateboarding, bike riding, and fishing.  Oh, did I forget to mention RACING!!!!!

As most young racers, he wants to be Dale Earnhardt Jr when he grows up.
