Michael Kaltenbaugh is a tough 9-year old racer. Michael has enjoyed racing since he got his first dirt bike for his 3rd birthday. He hasn’t slowed down since! Kart Racing began at age 5 and Michael is now stepping into his Bandolero Car. This racer has a need for speed! While his parents are very supportive of his racing (evidenced by their appearance at a recent YRA event at Grapevine Mills Mall), they also make sure Michael maintains his focus on making good grades at school.
This competitive racer has only missed a few races in the four years that he has been racing. Michael had a very successful 2004 series and moved right into 2005 with the following NTK record: Spring Series Top 3 Finishes, Summer Series Top 3 Finishes, Fall Series Top 3 Finishes, Polar Bear Top 3 Finishes, Series Championship Top 3 Finishes, Southern Regional Sprint Series Top 3 Finishes and a 2005 H.O.T. Kid Kart Shootout Top 5 Finish. Impressive record Michael!
Michael has earned the respect of both younger and older drivers due to his clean and smooth driving skills. Michael’s dream is to become a professional racecar driver and his parents say that “with the help of YRA, this will be a stepping stone to fulfilling his dream.” Well Michael, that’s what YRA is all about – helping our kids cross the finish line – and we know you’ll be the first to cross it many times!
